Offering Table, House Model Middle Kingdom

A combined offering table and house model ( soul house) of ovoid shape with low surrounding walls and a spout shaped gate. Within the walls, a central depression is found in the shape of the hiroglyph for `house`or possibly an offering table with a channel running from it to the spout/gate for liquid offerings. Above this depression are varius applied offerings including a leg of meat, loafs of bread. Such offering tables are most often found in the shape of an Egyptian offering table, although rare examples are in the shape of a model houses with a walled yard.
