Bronze Plumes from a large Osiris figure. Late Period. Bronze with untouched desert patina. Intact H 11 cm (2) Aquired: Charles Ede Ltd., London, Nov. -96 A pair of bronze side plumes from the atef-crown of a large wooden statue of Osiris. The maat-plumes rest on rams horns and have tangs on the inner edge for attachment to the crown. The lower tang is missing on one of the pair, although there is no trace of a broken tang either. It is clear that these constitute a pair.
