A group of funerary winged heart scarab amulet elements and mummiform figures of the four Sons of Horus who protected the internal organs. Mostly Third Intermediate Period. 1. Amulet or inlay in white glass depicting the baboon-headed Hapy, protector of the lungs, facing left with a staff before him. Repaired crack, otherwise a fine example of a very rare type. Ptolemaic Period. From a US coll. acquired in 2006. (M1463) 2. Amulet in greenish-blue faience of the falcon-headed Qebehsenuef, protector of the intestines. Shown facing left holding staff with clear incised details. Pierced at top and bottom for attachment. A very fine example of the type. L: 48mm. Intact. Provenance: Tetragon, London 1992. (M280) 3.
