Vessel: Black-Topped Beaker (M134). Predynastic Period, Nagada I. H.12,5 cm in height and 7cm in diameter. Fired Nile silt fabric. Intact. Old number on bottom reads: 302,00. Aquired: Richard Gill (Eternal Egypt), London November 1991. An fine black-topped beaker or cup. Tapering slightly towards the flat base and with a slightly everted rim. The outside is burnished and the inside is roughly thumbed. The vessel is hand-made with a thick fabric. Intact with only slight wear. A very good example of the type.
