A Group of New Kingdom Pottery Vessels. 1. A tall round-based slender bottle. Ovoid restricted body with a tall narrow neck broadening out into a rounded recurved rim. The fabric is a Nile silt with red slip and traces of burnishing. New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty. Repaired from sherds with a clear impact rosette on one side and radiating cracks. A very good example of the type. Gray’s Market, London 2001. (M1298) 2. A short hour-glass shaped biconical jar stand in a Nile silt fabric. The lower ring has a larger diameter than the upper. New Kingdom. Intact except for a chip and crack to the upper rim. Provenance: Gray’s Market, London 2000. (M1055) 3. A large deep unrestricted pottery bowl of composite shape with a modeled rim and a flat base. Nile silt fabric with a red slip. New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty. Repaired fractures, otherwise complete.
