Mixed edition. Vol. I 4th ed., vol. II 3rd ed. Pritchard (1786-1848), physician and anthropologist, also a pioneer in the moral treatment of the insane. His research laid the fround for the later researxh by Lyall, and anticipated the human evolution theories of Darwin .
