Unique scrap book entitled: "Admiral Henri Konows Livsbog" (Admiral Heni Konow's scrap book) consisting of more than 400 orig. documents, letters, drawings and photographs from Henri Konow's life and missions in many different parts of the world. 1877-1927. All material mounted on cardboard and housed in album. Most items are provided with autograph notes by Konow. A great part of the material deals with Konow's time as admiral on The Danish West Indies including several important documents from the hand over in 1917. The scrap book is of great military-, historical- and cultural importance. Enclosed 24 orig. b/w photographs from the The Danish West Indies showing the Danish flag going down for the last time, Henri Konow reading the royal proclamation on the islands transfer of authority to the United States, Kongevejen "Center Line", King's Wharf in Charlotte Amalies harbor and much more 1901-1902 and 1917.
