The Strømberg collection of Chinese Cash coins (c. 950)

This collection of more than 950 different Chinese Cash coins, c. 5th cent. BC - 19th cent. AD, was formed by the well-known Danish numismatist and veterenarian, Carl Strømberg (1911 - 1995). It was collected over a longer period but was mainly acquired in the 1970s from the reputable London-based dealers, Baldwin, Seaby and Spink. The coins (including some from Annam, Japan and Korea) are laid out on trays and have all been carefully identified on tickets with references mainly to Schöth and Cresell (some interchanged).
