Chateau Lynch Moussas, 5. Cru Classé, Pauillac 2009. I original trækasse. 'Served blind at the Southwold 2009 tasting. The Lynch-Moussas '09 is turning out to be a little gem. It has a lovely lifted bouquet with blackberries, cassis and a strong, compelling graphite thread. The palate is medium-bodied with dense, grippy tannins. It is masculine, thorough and there is certainly good breeding here. This is a solid Pauillac that should age well. Tasted January 2013. 91 points (Neal Martin, The Wine Advocate) 'This is a large estate of nearly 150 acres owned by Philippe Casteja. He has been making improvements, and the 2009 is certainly one of the better wines I have tasted from this estate. A blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot, the creme de cassis of Pauillac is well-displayed in this medium-bodied, elegant, richly fruity wine.
